01Who is the creator's legal counterparty: us or Zexel?
Zexel. We operate as a creator agency: Zexel contracts the creator directly, the creator invoices us, not you, and we pay them, taking on full tax responsibility (withholdings, reporting...). Your team receives a single consolidated invoice per batch. This keeps you out of the contractual chain with each individual creator, and that is what sets us apart from a simple payment processor.
02Do creators need a company or VAT number to get paid?
No. Zexel Pay is built to pay creators regardless of their tax status: individuals without a registered business, freelancers and companies alike, most of them not VAT-registered. Our onboarding segmentation reviews each creator's tax status to automatically apply the right payment treatment. By working with Zexel Pay you fully delegate that responsibility: you receive a single invoice from us and we take care of paying the creator, registered or not.
03How does your pricing work?
Pricing adapts to how you use it. One-off payouts: a per-batch fee, tiered by volume. Steady monthly volume: a monthly platform fee plus a tiered per-batch fee, with better pricing as you grow. Payments in other currencies are made through external payment providers, which apply their own exchange terms. Talk to sales for a proposal based on your last 90 days of volume.
04Which taxes and reports do you actually file?
Withholdings (IRPF in Spain and equivalents in PT, FR, IT, DE), VAT reverse charge where applicable, DAC7 reporting for EU platforms, W-9 and 1099-K for US payees, and KYC/AML on every recipient. We file directly with the tax authorities, so your team never touches a single form. Audit-ready exports are available in the dashboard at any time.
05How long does it take to go live, and can we integrate via API?
CSV uploader: same day. API integration depends on your team integrating with us to add creators, send campaigns for invoicing and receive automatic notifications when each payment is completed. Full platform integration takes 1 to 2 weeks, including sandbox testing.
