01Who is the legal counterparty to the creator — us or Zexel?
Zexel is. Once a creator is onboarded, they invoice Zexel — not you — and Zexel pays them under our payments-institution license. Your team receives one consolidated invoice per batch. You stay out of the contractual chain with the individual creator, which is what makes this a true merchant-of-record service and not just a payment processor.
02Do creators need a company or VAT number to get paid?
No. Zexel Pay is built to pay creators regardless of their tax status — individuals without a registered business, freelancers, and registered companies alike, most of whom aren't VAT-registered. Our onboarding segmentation analyzes each creator's tax situation to determine the right payment treatment automatically. When you work with Zexel Pay, you delegate that responsibility entirely: you get a single invoice from us, and we handle the payout to the creator whether or not they have a registered business.
03How is your pricing structured?
Pricing adapts to your usage pattern. On-demand payouts: a per-batch fee, volume-tiered. Consistent monthly volume: a monthly platform fee plus a tiered batch fee — better economics as you scale. FX spread applies on cross-currency transfers either way. Talk to sales for a quote benchmarked against your last 90 days of payout volume.
04Which taxes and reports do you actually file?
Withholding (IRPF in Spain, equivalents across PT, FR, IT, DE), VAT / IVA reverse-charge where applicable, DAC7 reporting for EU platforms, W-9 and 1099-K for US payees, and KYC / AML on every recipient. We file directly with the tax authority — your team never touches a form. Audit-ready exports are available in the dashboard at any time.
05How long does it take to go live, and can we integrate via API?
CSV uploader: same day. API integration would depend on your team to integrate with us — create payee, trigger batch, webhook on settlement. Full embedding for platforms takes 1–2 weeks including sandbox testing.
